22 Nov Counting Down the Days
It’s not even December yet and Christmas décor is spreading quicker than the holly and the ivy. One thing is for sure, if you haven’t already got your advent calendar sorted – what have you been doing?! Fortunately, Product of the Year has a few suggestions that will help bring daily cheer throughout the carnival of Christmas.
Starting with the classics. Chocolate calendars are a staple especially for little ones, but why stick to the usual formula? Lily O’Brien’s Chocolate Advent House brings childhood nostalgia with a keepsake, doll’s house style creation filled with the brand’s famously moreish chocolates. Cadbury has played it very well this year with Dairy Milk advent calendars for the kids and one for the adults. M&S muse, icon and all round porcine dream – Percy Pig – has a calendar all of his own. Daily chocolates leading up to the grand finale (a bag of Percy Pigs) will make a piglet of us all!
The beauty industry has very much tapped into the advent calendar trend. Save spending hundreds of pounds from designer brands because now high street retailers are bringing some of the best in this category. Boots Premium Advent Calendar is true affordable luxury, featuring a superb range of coveted and cult favourite brands (Huda Beauty, Fenty, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced…) and comes in at less than £100. Make Up Revolution 25 Days of Glam is a sight for sore eyes and very purse-friendly. And as we know all too well at Product of the Year, that male grooming is booming, look no further than the Nivea Men Advent Calendar.
Christmas is a time for generosity (and that includes treating yourself!). What better way than daily cheer for a whole month? Let the festivities begin!
