To be eligible for entry, your product must have been launched in between January 2017 and October 2018 and demonstrate innovation in one or more key areas – including functionality, design, packaging, or recipe. For full details, download our Terms & Conditions here.

Our esteemed panel of journalists and industry experts assess all entered products for quality and to make sure they meet our innovation criteria. This year, our Jury Day takes place on 12th September 2018.


If your product is selected to go into consumer research there is a fee of £3,750.


Over 10,000 shoppers vote in our consumer research conducted by Kantar TNS. It is 100% independent, trusted, and reliable research – and whatever the outcome you receive a full copy of the research report, valued at over £10,000.
Our research is conducted from Jury Day through to October-November.


Research reports will be sent to all entrants in February 2019.


If your product is voted category winner there is a fee of £16,000.


You are now a Product of the Year winner! Winners may use their logo across all packaging, marketing, advertising, and communications for 12 months, seeing a strong uplift in sales. They also benefit from our unparalleled media coverage, worth over £700,000, including features in The Sun, Woman’s Own, Netmums, Campaign, and many more – as well as a variety of bloggers, vloggers, and social media influencers.


Winners typically see a strong sales uplift immediately following their win, as 86% of shoppers are more likely to buy a product bearing the Product of the Year logo, and we have a logo recognition of 64% across the country. Sales tend to uplift by 10-15% on average, with some brands seeing increases as high as 135%.


Results are revealed to all competitors in November with the winners formally announced at our awards show at the end of January.
