05 Sep There are no words…..
Sometimes brands surprise you in the most brilliant of ways. Yesterday, Cadbury’s iconic Dairy Milk chocolate bars hit the supermarket shelves with all the words from the iconic packaging removed. Why? Because they are ‘donating’ the words to Age UK who revealed that 225,000 older people often go a week without speaking to anyone. And it’s not just a case of empty words (or the lack of them), Cadbury are putting their money where their mouth is and donating 30p from every bar sold to the charity. Clever, compassionate and proof positive that packaging is powerful. A canvas to engage, intrigue and delight – an opportunity to stand out and stand up for something good.
At Product of the Year, over the last 15 years, we have been lucky enough to curate and celebrate the very best brand product and packaging innovations in the UK. An ongoing barometer of brand evolvement we continue to be excited by the breadth and depth of innovation – the constant desire for brands to be better, to meet the ever-changing needs of the consumer.
And with an illustrious panel of judges poised to cast their votes next week, Product of the Year 2020 looks set to surprise us in the most brilliant of ways.
